Closed Loop Communication is a technique used by the military that reduces the risk of errors arising from misunderstandings and wrong assumptions. As the leader, you communicate to the team what you want to be achieved, but before they carry out their plan they must reiterate everything back to you. This means that you can analyze the plan and give feedback before any tasks are carried out. Once there is a clear understanding of the aims, you can close the loop back to them. This is also an opportunity for you to guide them with your expertise and tailor their aims.
